In Tradition there lies Future
The Portland Forum was built in 1908. The owner was HeidelbergCement
AG which wanted to offer their workers a place where they could spend
their spare time and continue their education – the „Workers’
Festival Hall of the Portland Cement Factory“
About 80 years later HeidelbergCement initiated its complete mordernisation.
Architects, preservationists and experienced craftsmen – they
all did a good job and had the necessary know-how to handle such a
jewel of Art Nouveau architecture.
Since July 2004, the Portland Forum is also open to external customers
and organisers who want to organise their general meetings, congresses,
corporate festivities or cultural events their.
